Robert’s voice will be familiar to anyone who loves the Sylvester Stallone Rocky franchise. Tepper’s hit, “No Easy Way Out” was used in the 1986 blockbuster, ROCKY 4, in the memorable Apollo Creed post-death montage. He subsequently wrote and performed “Angel of the City” for Stallone‘s 1986 action film, Cobra.
Tepper cowrote the top 40 hit “Into the Night“ which was released in 1980 by Benny Mardones. The song was re-released in 1989 and went to number 20 on the Billboard hot 100. It is one of 10 recordings that I’ve ever done this.
He wrote the song “Le Bel Age” for Pat Benatar. In 1986 the song cracked the top 20 in the Mainstream Rock charts and also placed on the Billboard Hot 100 the same year.
In the intervening years, Robert has written music for television and film, and continued to release albums.
Robert will be supporting his new album “Feels Like Monday” with singer/songwriter/guitarist Chris Cameron and a small semi-acoustic ensemble. He is performing his hits along with new music in concerts and listening rooms across the US in 2022.
